Rachana joined the GER in June 2024 through the DAAD RISE program. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering through Northeastern University. Rachana has been working on characterizing the rechargeability of alkaline batteries as part of the Gallaway Lab at Northeastern. She has also worked on improving the efficiency of electrolyzer and electrowinning systems. In the future, she is interested in further working with electrochemical and materials characterization techniques to improve sustainable energy systems.
