Dr. Dawid Kasprzak
Dawid joined the GER in September 2024 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He also holds a faculty position as an Assistant Professor at the Poznan University of Technology, Poland. He earned both his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Chemical Technology from Poznan University of Technology and his PhD in Chemical Sciences from Poznan University of Technology. Before coming to Berlin, he completed postdoctoral appointments at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, Czech Republic (10/2021 – 07/2022), and at the University of British Columbia in Canada (09/2022 – 08/2024). Dawid is interested in developing sustainable and innovative solutions for electrochemical applications. He has expertise in electrochemical energy storage devices, biomass processing, and the fabrication of specialized biomaterials. He explored a wide range of energy storage technologies, including supercapacitors, Li-ion, Na-ion, and Li-S batteries, and most recently, aqueous Zn-ion systems. His work spans comprehensive research and hands-on experimentation with electrode materials, electrolytes, and cell configurations.
